#Best Albums of 2013
Here’s the list, in alphabetical order. Rdio links, all. There’s quite a range here, from the noise of Holden and the harmonies of Minor Alps, to the Brooklyn garage rock of Parquet Courts and the floaty Americana of Gregory Alan Isakov.
If I had to pick a favorite, as far as the one I went back to the most over the year, it would probably be CHVRCHES’ The Bones of What You Believe. Great melodies that never got old, production that wasn’t too dense, but not so simplistic to be annoying, plus Lauren Mayberry’s basically perfect vocals. It is so good.
